One of Syracuse's most popular entertainers, bandleader Mickey Vendetti, has opened a new facility which will host wedding receptions, family reunions, showers, graduation parties and all types of social gatherings.
The Goodtime Banquet Hall is located at 526 Teall Ave., in Syracuse, on the top floor of Klub Polski.
"Over the years, my Goodtime Band has played thousands of wedding reception and private parties," Vendetti said. "So I figured we may as well run the room as well as the music."
The hall's distinctive 1950's ambiance is accentuated with period furniture, a classic 30-foot-long bar in a separate barroom decorated with larger-than-life photo portraits of entertainment icons such as Marlon Brando and Marilyn Monroe. The dining room is capable of accommodating anywhere from 50 to 400 diners.
"It's a back-to-basics, old-fashioned social hall," Vendetti said. "With its hardwood dance floor, its convenient bar and its big, spotless kitchen, people are going to find that it's a perfect party room."
